How to get to the Komiza

Komiza (Komiža) is a Croatian coastal town lying on the western coast of the island of Vis in the central part of the Adriatic Sea. The closest airport is in Split, that is connected to Vis island by ferry. The highlights of diving in Komiža are the numerous underwater caves spotted with holes speared with rays of sunlight. There are also caves, tunnels, canyons, crevices, pillars, walls and arches in the area. While diving, there is an opportunity to encounter schools of fish such as common two-banded sea bream, sharpsnout sea bream, red mullet, damselfish, and salema porgy. Komiža is popular for its wreck diving and archaeological sites – numerous sunken ships and historical sites are available for enthusiasts.
