Basura, in Anilao, is a famous muck and macro site despite its unglamorous name. It is a patient photographer’s dive, where rubble and sand can reveal rare subjects.
What to see
Frogfish, nudibranchs, rhinopias where present, seahorses, pipefish, shrimps, crabs, octopus, and juvenile fish may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best from November to May, though macro life is possible year-round. Water is generally 25–29°C.
