Scuba diving in Anchor Cockpit

Anchor Cockpit is located on the North coast of Cyprus, just east of Girne Castle. The site consists of two reefs, one reef contains an old anchor and a chain, whereas the other has a cockpit from a plane. The cockpit is completely intact and empty of any instrumentation or other artifacts. After exploring the cockpit, at about 50m/164ft, divers will find the anchor. The site presents great photo opportunities.
When to go
Diving is possible all year round, although May through December are the optimal time to dive here.
Water temperature ranges between 19-27C/66-80F from May through December.
What to see
Reefs, an old anchor and a chain, a cockpit from a plane. Coming here, divers may see green or loggerhead turtles, stingrays, wrasse, grouper and octopus mingling among the corals.
