Mukilteo
The Mukilteo T-Dock dive site is located near the ferry terminal of the city of Mukilteo. The entry point is found next to the Silver Cloud Inn. The site begins with big boulders and cobblestones until it reaches a depth of 15-20ft/5-6m. At a depth of more than 50ft/15m, a huge PVC-pipe geodome structure starts, which has a statue of an angel in the center. Intense currents may be present, so this site is only recommended for experienced divers.
When To Go Diving
Diving here is possible year-round, but requires thermo-protective dry suits, because the maximum average temperature of the water in Mukilteo is about 50F/12C.
What to see
The Mukilteo T-Dock dive site is very rich in sea life. The geodome's pipes are covered with little invertebrates and jingles, and serves as home to copper rockfish. Massive shoals of pile perch and shiner are commonly seen here, as well as crabs, especially in summer months. Gobies, gunnels, snake pricklebacks, flatfish, and copper rockfish are also some of the permanent residents. Sculpins, mussels, and barnacles can often be found here.
