Ginnie Springs
Ginnie Springs has 4 clearest springs and an appealing cave system. Generally this spot is suitable for divers of all levels, but some caves may require cave dive training. The main well-known cavern, commonly known as the Ballroom, is a place for all fully certified divers. It is a spacious cavern that's 18m/60ft wide, 21m/70ft long and 7m/25ft high with the minimal current, with the besides at the grill locking the entrance to the cave system beyond. Also Ginnie Springs offers a big campground, an overnight rental cottage, and fully stocked dive shop.
When To Go Diving
In Orlando the period from May to October is favorable for diving. The air temperatures throughout the year vary from 15-28C/59-82F. Though the water temperatures in this diving spot are constant 20-22C/68-72F year round.
What to see
In these waters divers can see a variety of fish, including trout, bonefisha, shark tarpon, redfish, as well as enjoy big grottos and a huge amount of gallons of fresh water per day gushing from the Florida Aquifer.
