Location We use 2 locations depending of trip you are interested in: tiger sharks - West End on Grand Bahama (Sept - End Feb) and Oceanic Whitetip (March - June) - Baines town on Cat Island. Meeting near the hotel (see recommended accommodation)

Our custom dive boat, M/V Thresher, spends the April - June Oceanic Whitetip season on Cat Island, where our local born captain is a world’s expert on locating this unique species.
Our boat is 47 foot island hopper with climate controlled inside and bathroom down stairs

Read before you go

Check-in time For Grand Bahamas it varies at time but usually between 7:30 to 8:30 am, and Cat Island it is usually between 8:30 - 9 am before the trip. We contact our clients and let them know the exact time to meet.

Read before you go During the remainder of the year, Thresher moves to Grand Bahama for our Tiger Shark expeditions famous for large tigers in addition to countless lemon and reef sharks, while there’s always a chance at seeing bull and great hammerhead sharks!

Transfers

From recommended hotels to dive center Not required
For Grand Bahama we do not organize airport transfers as there are always taxi's at the airport. From the accommodations in the marina the boat is walking distance and transfers is not needed. For Cat we can arrange transfers from the afternoon flight from TBI. Daily transfers from the hotel to the boat can be arrange for $30 a day round trip
Recommended hotels Accommodations on Cat Island:
Beachfront Resort. Not far away from the hustle and bustle of Nassau, but far away from it all set amidst an atmosphere of tranquillity and style.
