Magic Mountain
The Magic Mountain dive site is located on the Outer Gneerings Reef in Mooloolaba, Australia. Scuba diving at Magic Mountain is adventurous due to its structure. The site mostly consists of rocky ledges, massifs, and outcroppings. Magic Mountain is a complex structure with a large number of ravines, ledges, gullies, caverns, swim-throughs, and pinnacles, as well as soft and hard corals.
When To Go Diving
The climate is subtropical in Mooloolaba. The summer (December to February) is warm, with an average temperature of 30C/86F. Winters (June to August) are mild, with an average temperature of 20C/68F.
What to see
All of these constructions became a shelter for such marine species as urchins, sea whips, nudibranchs, hydroids, anemones, brittle stars, crabs, sponges, crayfish, and wobbegongs. Divers can also observe morwongs, wrasses, baitfish, bullseyes, catfish, and even estuarine cod.
