Kuda Kandu
Kuda Kandu (Maldives) is a channel dive with two tiny thilas lying inside. The dive starts from a reef top that is absorbed in a lot of sea fans and a few enormous foliaceous corals sheltering a variety of marine life, like Napoleon wrasse, clown fish, triggerfish, a huge amount of nudibranches all colors and size. At depths of somewhere between 16m to 20m/-65ft divers will discover some large overhangs and caves, that are teeming with life. Having a tiny inward current, the channel is crossable along the edge at about 30m/98ft. The site is suitable for intermediate level, maximum depth is 30m/99ft. Current are usually strong (>2 knots).
When To Go Diving
December to April are the best months for diving, water temperatures ranges from 27 to 30C/80-86F.Visibility ranges between 15 and 30m/49-98ft.
What to see
Here variety of whitetip reef sharks, eagle rays, schools of barracuda, also turtles,moray eels, humpback snappers, oriental sweet lips, schools of rainbow runners and even sometimes sailfish can be seen. Around the coral blocks schools of humpback snappers and oriental sweet lips can be spotted.
