Liveaboard diving in
Punta Silo
This colorful combination of wall and reef is a great experience for all diver levels. The dive begins with a 14m/45ft deep wall, followed by a 20m/65ft long sand plateau and then again follows a wall with shadowy protuberances down to 35m/114ft. The bottom is a combination of sand and rocks.
When To Go Diving
In the summer months, water temperatures can rise up to 27C/80F. In winter, temperatures average around 11C/51F. The best time to dive is from May to September.
What to see
The rich marine life includes corals, sponges, scorpion fish, octopi, anemones, and starfish. There is usually a slight current present, in which the beautifully colored nudibranches dance (especially prominent in the summer months).
