Liveaboard diving in
Kaiser Franz Josef
The Kaiser Franz Joseph is an Austro-Hungarian cruiser, built in 1890. It participated in WWI, but sank during a storm on October 17, 1919, armed with explosives. It is recommended to start exploring the wreck from its mid-section, between the two masts. And though the cruiser is in a state of decay now, it is possible to explore the ship’s interior and then the bow where explosives still lie near its anchor.
When To Go Diving
Best period for diving is from May to September, when water temperature is between 18-25C/64-77F and the average air temperature is 23C/73F.
