Amos Rock is a dive site on the north part of the reef, which starts with a smooth slope that later transforms into a wall dropping very deep down. The wall is covered densely with corals, gorgonians and purple fans. The current can become quite strong and unpredictable around here. This dive site is popular for its sea life diversity which ranges from large fish to small ocean creatures. Amos Rock is often included to Tubbataha Reef liveaboard trips

When To Go Diving

The best time for diving at Amos Rock is from March till June. The average air temperature is within 27-30°C/89-98°F range, and the water frequently reaches 26-28°C/85-92°F

What to see

Mackerels, wrasses, groupers and snappers are often seen around Amos Rock. There are also many eagle rays, gray reef and white-tip sharks as well as sea turtles swimming past the beautiful corals. The micro life is composed of nudibranches, shrimps, anemones and sea worms
