Must see
The Billinghurst Cave is a deep cave dive, one of the longest cave dives (about 50m long) in Gozo, near Reqqa Point site. The entrance is only 3m/10ft under the surface, and this is where the sunlight hits the water and creates a beautiful display of lights. If divers are planning a deeper immersion they will need a torch as there is very little natural light penetration deeper down the cave. At the end of the tunnel there is a big cavern where it is possible to surface.

When To Go Diving

Best conditions for scuba diving are from May to November, though diving is possible all year round. From November to April the average water temperature is about 16C/60F. From May to October, the average water temperature stays near 25C/77F. The hottest time is from mid-July to mid-September.

What to see

There is an abundance of marine life, which includes cardinal fish, zebra sea bream, scorpion fish, shrimp, many fireworks anemones in the sand along the cavern edges and other sea creatures. The walls of the tunnel are covered with colorful sponges and lace coral.
