About Phu Quoc

The Phú Quốc dive region is the biggest island in Vietnam. It attracts divers of all levels with its pristine nature and untouched dive sites that have not been seen by many tourists yet. Novice divers come here for the shallow reefs and sandy bays with small exotic creatures, while experienced divers explore the deepest dive of 48m/157ft. The diversity of the species around Phú Quốc includes cowfish, stingrays, moray eels, paperfish, scorpionfish, and reef sharks, in their natural habitat with various corals, anemones, and purple fans. The most famous dive sites in this region are Bãi Dài, Bãi Thơm, and Turtle Island, where it is easy to spot a green sea turtle. The diversity of shapes and colors in Phú Quốc attracts those, who appreciate virgin sea bottoms and being outside of the most touristy areas.

When to go to Phu Quoc

Scuba diving in Phú Quốc is available at any time of the year. The best period to come is outside the monsoon season, from October to May, when the water is clearer. The average water temperature is 24C/75F, while the air temperature usually runs around 26-29C/79-84F. The visibility of the water is very high and can be 30m/98ft during the dry season.
