Dive Center is located in the hotel Tioman Dive Resort
B&J Diving Centre is located on Tioman Island in Malaysia, a heaven for experienced divers and those who want to learn scuba diving. It might not be known to many but Tioman Island is home to some of the healthiest coral reefs and a myriad of marine life. B&J has been there from the beginning and has helped maintain these reefs by organizing regular environmental events such as cleanup days, COT (Crown Of Thorns) collections and more. Strategically located in the northern part of Tioman Island in Salang Bay and in Ayer Batang (aka ABC), B&J is close to some of the best reefs that Asia has to o... read more ffer.
B&J was established in 1987 and has been awarded several times by PADI as a “Project AWARE Environmental Achievement Award Winner”. B&J is also a “Go-Eco Operator”, "Green Fins Member" and a “Longitude 181 Ambassador”, promoting environmentally safe diving with a strict no glove and no touch policy.
Due to the lack of nice accommodation, B&J built their Tioman Dive Resort in 2012 with a total of 11 rooms (Double/Twins, Triples and Quads) that offer by far the best rooms in northern Tioman.
The main pride of B&J lies in its quality and services. The Malay/German/Swiss management ensures that every dive student and diver receives high quality diver education and a 100% safe diving experience. The dive equipment is well maintained and regularly replaced, the air is tested for purity, the dive boats large and comfortable and the dive groups are kept small.
As a PADI 5 Star IDC (Instructor Development Center), B&J is amongst the top dive centers in Asia and the very experienced instructors teach all courses from beginner to instructor level. B&J is also a DSAT/PADI Technical Diving Facility and provides DAN O2 Provider courses. B&J is also a pioneer in the education of children.
If you like to see some of the most beautiful coral gardens in the South China Sea, a vast variety of tropical reef fish, turtles, sharks, cuttlefish and some of the best spots for nudibranchs in the world, then you shouldn’t miss a visit to Tioman Island.
Two Tank dive trips for certified divers are organized daily and you have the choice of additional afternoon boat dives or night dives. If you prefer to take it more relaxed, then you should head for some great muck diving on the house reefs. Nitrox is readily available.
Technical divers are drawn to Tioman to either enrol in more training and to visit some of the most spectacular wrecks in the world, HMS Repulse and HMS Prince of Wales.
Next to diving we assist you with transfer and accommodation bookings or invite you to join one of our regular cleanup efforts to protect the ocean.

B&J is proud to be amongst the safest dive centers (100% safety record) and it's our top priority. To ensure that you have a safe diving experience we:
- insist on a pool/shore refresher dive if you haven't dived in more than 10 months and have not logged more than 30 dives
- allow diving only in buddy teams and with our guide (unless you are a professional diver)
- limit the dive time to a minimum of 50bar tank pressure
- insist on a 3min safety-stop at 5m on...Continue reading every dive, even if it was very shallow
- always use a surface marker buoy (SMB) to ascend to avoid any accidents i.e. with speedboats
- do not allow decompression diving unless in combination with a technical diving course / technical diving trip
- remain the right to ban any customer from diving if he/she should show unsafe behavior
B&J is further proud to contribute our part to protect the oceans. We organize regular beach/underwater cleanup event, are a Project AWARE Cleanup Coordinator and also consultant in the control of the coral eating Crown of Thorns seastar (COT). We have a strict no glove, no touch, no take policy. Any diver acting purposely unsafe for the environment will be remanded.
