Tulum has a tropical climate. The average air temperature is 28-33C/82-91F. December to May has the least rainfall. The water temperature is 25-27C/77-80F. August has the warmest water, around 29C/84F.

What to see

Cañones has many species, such as turtles, stingrays, nurse sharks, octopi, nudibranchs, and grouper. Occasionally divers may encounter lionfish.
