Ningaloo Reef is a dive site close to Exmouth in Australia that offers its healthy corals, ledges, crevices, overhangs, and swim-throughs for exploration. The reef is full of hard and soft corals, sea whips, and colorful sponges.

When To Go Diving

The best time for diving at Ningaloo Reef is the summer, when the water temperature averages 24-28C/75-82F. The monsoon can affect the sea visibility from November to early January. There is a higher chance to spot whale sharks from March to June.

The highlights of Ningaloo Reef are majestic manta rays, whale sharks, dugongs, humpback whales, dolphins, and sea turtles that come to nest on the shore. There is also a large variety of creatures, which makes this site great for underwater photography.
