This dive site is also known as Madeira - Monk Reef. The average depth of this site is 25m/82ft. The maximum depth is 35m/114,8ft. This dive site is best suited for CMAS **/AOW divers. There is a low current, 1 knot. The visibility is very good and sometimes can reach 30m/98ft. This reef is home to big black stingrays and electric rays lazing on the sandy floor, also barracudas, groupers and moray eels can be seen here. From April to May it is the Sperm Whale watching season here.

When To Go Diving

The water temperature is 23C/73F in August and 18C/64F in February. The air temperature is 26C/79F in the summer and 19C/66F in the winter. The climate is mild and the waters are crystal clear.
