Liveaboard diving in
Abu Hashish North
At Abu Hashish North, divers start the dive by swimming through a channel covered with table corals that leads a diver to a steep wall. The reef slope has a sandy plateau, and another rocky ridge nearby. Several caves can be observed while scuba diving at this site.
When To Go Diving
Hurghada has a subtropical climate, with hot summers and warm winters. The average temperature is 30-33C/89-91F in summer and 17-19C/62-66F in winter. The best month to dive is August, when the water temperature is 28C/83F.
What to see
Divers can observe crabs, seahorses, nudibranchs, cuttlefish, octopi, moray eels, pufferfish, turtles, mackerel, Spanish dancers, leopard grouper, squid, jacks, and barracudas while diving at Abu Hashish North. Divers also occasionally encounter whitetip sharks and hammerhead sharks.
