Mulo
The Mulo dive site is found near the southern coast of the island of Mulo. This site is a wall-diving destination, and has cliffs that fall to a depth of about 50m/164ft. Due to the depth, divers usually explore it in more than one dive. This dive should only be attempted by advanced-level divers, because of the deep depth and the presence of forceful currents.
When To Go Diving
The best conditions for diving in this area are from June to August, with the sea temperature peaking at 25C/77F in July. September through December has predominantly rainy weather. In September and October, the sea temperature averages 19C/66F.
What to see
The site is very rich in coral beauty: soft and hard corals, sea fans, and sponges of various colors and shades can be found there, mostly in orange, lemon-yellow, red, and magenta colors. Due to the currents and depth, big pelagic fish can be spotted, such as tuna and sea bream. Starfish, including magical starfish, can be seen there, along with various species of reef fish and jellyfish.
