Vanji Skoj is a tiny islet situated off the southwest coast of the island of Mljet. The dive site is located on that side of the islet that faces the open sea and features a reef with an interesting steep wall, that starts at 8m/26ft and goes down to 60m/197ft. Due to the exposed location, the reef hosts an incredible variety of marine species that divers can discover on and around the wall at various depths depending on the level of their experience.

When To Go Diving

Diving at Vanji Skoj is possible all year round, however, the water temperature in winter drops to chilly 12C/53F. The best season for diving is from May to September with the water temperature of 25C/77F.

What to see

On their way down along the steep wall, divers will be fascinated by algae, corals and sponges of many shapes and colors. Some interesting anemones, parrotfish, wrasses, lobsters, moray eels, groupers and bream can be found at different depths along the wall.
