Cocos Island
Silverado is a dive site close to the Cocos Island National Park in Costa Rica that takes its name from the only known cleaning station in this area for silvertip sharks. There is some light underwater current and surges sometimes, which makes this dive site popular with more experienced divers who admire coral gardens and variety of marine life.

When To Go Diving

The average air temperature is 28-30C/82-86F, while the water temperature ranges between 25-27C/77-81F. The best time for diving at this site is from December to April.

What to see

The common species here are snake eels, shrimp, lobsters, starfish, jawfish, and rosy-lipped batfish, the specialty of Cocos Island.
