Koh Doc Mai is a popular dive site located off Kata Beach. The site consists of wall. The west side of the wall, with hard coral extending out from 12 - 18m/39-59ft, is shallower, the east wall is more popular with divers. There are many cracks and crevices along the walls. There is also a big cave and small cave located on the east side of the island.

When To Go Diving

Diving is possible all year-round. The warmest month is April, with an air temperature of 25-33C/77-91F. The coldest is October, with an air temperature of 24-30C/75-86F. Water temperatures peak in the range of 29-31C/84-88F in April and are at their lowest in January around 27-29C/81-84F.

What to see

Wall, reef, cave, sharks, macro species,colourful nudibranch, flatworms, tiny white eyed morays and corals.
