Liveaboard diving in
El Poris
This is a shallow and serene dive with lots of soft corals and impressive volcanic rock formations. Also there are small caverns with a possibility to encounter some strong streams in deeper waters. Shoals of ballan wrasses, damselfish, octopus, cuttlefish, electric rays, stingrays, groupers, orange roughys, angel sharks, barracudas and even turtles can be found in this area. Diving at this site is done from a shore and available for divers of all levels of experience. The average depth of the site is 20m/66ft with the maximum depth of 28m/100ft.
The underwater visibility is between 20m/66ft and 30m/98ft. The currents are medium, around 1-2 knots. Also this is a good site for night diving, dive training, underwater photography and snorkeling.
When To Go Diving
The best time to go is from May to October. In January the air temperature varies from 17C/36F to 22C/72F and in August from 26C/79F to 30C/86F. The average water temperature is 23C/73F in the summer and 18C/64F in the winter.
