Conception Arena
This dive site is located at Conception Island at the north-western side of Mahe and consists of a granite reef that forms a natural arena with large rocks and an abundant marine life.
When To Go Diving
The best time to visit this site is from April through May and October through November. The average air temperature in this area is around 25C/77F throughout the year. The average water temperature ranges from 26C/78F to 30C/86F. The average depth is 25m/82ft with the visibility averaging 15 to 30m/49 to 98ft.
What to see
The site offers divers a chance to explore the reefs with some large rock formations, canals and underwater passages. The diverse marine life at this location includes stingrays, Hawksbill turtles and reef sharks as well as a large variety of tropical reef fish.
