This dive site is popular with beginner divers due to its very light current as well as healthy soft and hard corals, variety of anemones and nudibranchs, including the beautiful phyllidia nigra, phyllidia elegans, and chromodoris willani.

When to go

Located off Pura Island in Indonesia, Clown Valley attracts beginner divers with its 7-15m/23-49ft-deep waters at a warm temperature of 27C/81F. The average air temperature ranges around 28-30C/82-86F. The best conditions for diving are usually from October to April, when the water has its best visibility (15-30m/49-98ft).

What to see

The reef draws different small tropical fish and shrimp, and is full of clownfish.
