LIVEABOARD DIVING IN Xcalak
Xcalac located on the Southern end of the Costa Maya. The closest international airport is in Cancun that is located in 400 km. Xcalak offers lots of diving opportunities for divers of all levels. Coming here divers can explore the Great Maya Reef which is the second largest barrier reef in the world as well as deep walls, shallow walls, big canyons located between spur and groove reef systems, caverns and a wide variety of marine life, including sea turtles (howksbill, leatherback and green), whale sharks and rays. There is a great variety of dive sites off Xcalac, one of the most popular is La Chimenea or The Chimney. The highlight of this dive is a swim down a narrow channel and entry into a large round room with an open top, giving the feeling of looking up through the top of a chimney. Also, there are such interesting dive sites as La Poza de Sabalos, Poza Rica, Tarpon Hole, XCaret Snorkeling Lagoon, La Catedral and Cenote Azul.
