Cape Silo
Cape Šilo is an underwater rock located 2km/1.2mi off the uninhabited island of Prvić, which starts at a depth of 12m/39ft and goes down to almost 70m/230ft below the surface. Diving here is only allowed up to 40m/131ft deep. The clear, blue waters of Cape Šilo are known for their excellent visibility.
When To Go Diving
The best diving conditions at Cape Šilo are from June to September, when the water temperature reaches 24C/75F. The air temperature averages 25-30C/77-86F around this time of the year.
What to see
Cape Šilo is known for its enormous gorgonian corals, various colorful sea slugs, anemones, sponges, and octopi. Large scorpionfish, feather stars, brittle stars, red starfish, peacock wrasses, gapers, and greater weevers inhabit the waters around the rock as well.
