Menjangan Island
Pos 1 dive site is located off the southwest coast of Menjangan island. This dive site offers easy and enjoyable dives often without any current. It is perfect for beginner divers and snorkelers and, also, for night diving. There are small reefs on this site, with mini walls, small caves and flat areas. The beautiful coral growth on the reef slopes consists of large sponges and gorgonians. A wide variety of small reef species have made this area their home. Divers can also expect to be accompanied by some big fish in deeper waters of this site.
When To Go Diving
The annual water temperature stays at around 28C/82F, making it possible to dive this site all year round.
What to see
Beautiful small reefs are covered with large sponges and gorgonians, and occupied by sea slugs, shrimp, crabs and shoals of small reef fish. Big fish species, including wrasses, jacks, rays, reef sharks, and occasionally even whale sharks, can all be seen in surrounding waters.
