Pygmy Canyon is situated off the South coast of Grand Bahama Island. The site features a cave and reef diving. The reef consists of various corals and sponges and is home to a variety of marine life. The huge coral formations have small tunnels running through them, but they are not big enough for a human to swim through. The nooks and niches of the reef attract moray eels, sea turtles and lobsters.

When To Go Diving

Diving is possible all year round, with the average water temperature ranging between 22-28C/71-82F. The best time for diving is considered from November through April.

What to see

Cave, reef and an abundant marine life, including moray eels, sea turtles and lobsters, spadefish, eagle rays, horse-eye jacks, groupers, snappers, reef sharks and even a massive Whale Shark, on a rare occasion.
