Diving at the SS Salamanda is always a great adventure. It is definitely a site for history lovers and explorers. SS Salamanda is a wreck of a 40m/131ft-long sunken cruise liner. The ship used to have three decks and was a tourist ferry for a long period of time. Nowadays its remains are covered with anemones and attract scuba divers.

Manu Island has a tropical climate. The average temperature range is 26-30C/79-86F and the water temperature averages 27-29C/81-84F. The best time to travel to Manu Island is from May to October.

What to see

At this site divers can search for crabs and shrimp in coral and anemones covering the wrecks. Divers can also observe angelfish, anemonefish, stingrays, sea snakes, eels, and occasionally manta rays.
