Mango Bay, located to the north of Koh Tao, is a wide, shallow bay that is fringed by reefs along its coastlines. The west side is made up of reef-framed boulders and the east side has a huge expanse of coral reefs. The marine life is abundant and includes grouper, turtles, jacks, spotted rays, parrotfish, wrasses, yellowtail barracudas, scad fish, shoals of fusiliers (careful divers can get inside the shoals of fish), white-eyed moray eels, as well as black seahorses, sea moths, and other macro critters. Soft and hard coral formations are plentiful, along with a variety of sponges. The bay is ideal for all divers, especially for beginners (depth of 2-15m/6-49ft). There are no currents.
