The Torrecillas is a good site for CMAS*/OW divers. It is an undersea plateau where divers can explore reef, corals and a variety of marine species, including sailfish, marlin, tuna, red snapper, sea bass, great pacific manta, turtles, large schools of jacks and the occasional whale shark, especially during the shark watching season which runs May through July.
When To Go Diving
The best season to dive Torrecillas is between August and February. The average water temperature stays between 17-28C/62-82F with average water visibility being around 9-28m/30-90ft. The depth of the site is around 43m/140ft. Currents are low, less than 1 knot.
