San Miguel Island is a beautiful spot in Philippines with great diving opportunities and a chance to make beautiful photographs. The bottom of the site is sandy and the reef is artificially created. It serves as a home to numerous creatures and houses a collection of colorful corals of all types.

When To Go Diving

San Miguel Island can be explored throughout the year with January till May being the months with the most favorable conditions. The water is warmer than the air with the average temperature of 26-28C/79-82F. The air usually stays about 25-26C/77-79F.

What to see

This dive site is a hiding spot for bright nudibranches, several types of rare shrimps and crabs. Lionfish, frogfish, scorpionfish and eels are often seen around San Miguel Island. Other species include anemones, sponges, clownfish, octopus and coriocella. The bigger species include snappers, stingrays and wrasses.
