MV Yemaya is a modern liveaboard that offers diving on Islands of Coiba, Malpelo, and Cocos. These destinations are recognized between divers all over the world.
Boat Interior
MV Yemaya offers a lot of space for comfortable and well-appointed accommodation: there are 8 cabins for 16 divers on board. There are two Master cabins and six standard cabins. All cabins are equipped with hot and cold water showers, reading lights, comfortable beds. Cabins have big portholes that provide dives with a picturesque view.
Salon area placed on the main deck. Here divers can comfortably relax after the day of diving, chat ith other passengers. Another common area is a dining that is located on the upper deck next to sun deck. Yemaya sun deck has a number of sun loungers and it is perfect to enjoy a marine view.
Dive Deck
Yemaya dive deck is spacious and convenient for all divers to prepare for the dive. Divers can use personal storage for the gear and two showers. Plus, there are facilities for rinsing equipment after dive and a separate tank for maintaining cameras. Boat crew pays special attention to photo enthusiasts. Here they can use also camera table with charging points and storage.
Safety
Insecure your safety on board is one of the main purposes for the MV Yemaya crew team. Boat equipped with fire distinguishers and fire alarms, life rafts, life rings with line life jackets, etc.
Best fo Photographers
Yemeya Liveaboard offers a special equipment for photo enthusiasts. Here divers can maintain their camera equipment using special table and rinsing tanks. Routes that boat runs are very attractive for photographers. It’s an extraordinary opportunity to meet sharks, hammerheads, schools of fish and giant mantas. Imagine how amazing it would be to make a picture of a whale shark in Coiba National Park. It is also possible to see humpback whales in some months here.
Itinerary
Yemeya itineraries include three different routes. Divers has an amazing opportunity to discover Malpelo Island of Colombia, Coiba National Park, and Cocos Island. Malpelo is a spectacular diving with sharks. This diving destination is represented by numerous of shark species. It’s, for example, white-tip shark. Galapagos sharks and Hammerheads.
Coiba is a big uninhabited island with tropical forest. Its underwater world is extraordinary. Its waters is a home for manta rays, several types of sharks. And what made a safari to this destination even more extraordinary is a chance to see humpback whales migration. This migration route from Antarctic is the longest for this type of whales.
Cocos Island is one of the most attractive diving itineraries. MV Yemeya offers a special trip to this recognized destination, that will include diving with hammerheads, silver-tip, tiger, silky, black-tip and whale sharks and many others. Humpback whales is a frequent guest for this area as well.
When to Go
The best months for diving on Malpelo Islands are December through April when seas are calmer and the water is less cold. Currents can be rather strong here, what can make visiting some of the dive sites impossible. Diving on Coiba is possible year round, water temperature is around 27 C/81 F through the year. The climate at Cocos Island is tropical and humid. Water temperatures and visibility of this region depends on a current.
