Wreck
This dive site is located near the Fourmigue du Lavandou and is recommended for advanced divers only. The site is a plane wreck that sank in 1957 when it fell from an aircraft carrier. At the wreck site it is still possible to find guns, the engine stuck in the tail, wings and the propeller at the rear of the fuselage. One of the particularities of this wreck is that it is possible to observe the landing gear that retracts completely into the fuselage.

When To Go Diving

Reviews about Wildcat

The plane is situated on the sand at a depth of 53
The plane is situated on the sand at a depth of 53 m. Visibility is excellent on the site so you can see the wreck from 30-35 m. The wings are both present and in good condition. The flora is quite poor... Some small lobsters are hidden in holes in the fuselage. If we are lucky enough a very large lobster can be seen.
