When to go to Vietnam

The peaceful weather and water of Vietnam make diving possible all year round with various natural attractions at different times. The average water temperature ranges between 21-25C/70-77F, which means that a wetsuit is often needed. The climate of Vietnam is very diverse, so the temperature of the air varies by region, but averages 30C/86F. The weather is defined by two monsoons, which make April, May and October the most balanced months. The winter monsoon happens between October and March, bringing cold and wet weather to the north of the country and dry temperatures to the south. The summer monsoon lasts from May to October, causing hot and humid weather in the whole country except for the mountain area. The best time to go for whale season is between February and October. The water visibility ranges between 20-30m/66-98ft.
