Boat's schedule also includes a unique trip to Bikini Atoll, that was recently open for divers. Amazing collection of wrecks can be explored. Underwater photographers will appreciate a special camera station.

Boat interior

The Truk Master has 8 cabins and can accommodate 16 guests. All staterooms have air conditioning, private facilities, hair dryers, and safes for personal belongings. Divers can relax in the lounge area on the Truk Master after a day of diving, which has comfortable sofas and a plasma TV. If you prefer to stay outside, you can spend time on the boat’s sun deck, which has lounge chairs. The open-air dining area is perfect for viewing the gorgeous scenery.

Dive deck

The Truk Master dive deck has enough space for all divers on board to be comfortable. There are under-bench storage boxes for personal belongings like fins and masks. There are also shower hoses for rinsing between dives.

Itineraries

The Truk Master liveaboard is one of the few boats that offer the opportunity to dive in the Japanese wrecks in Truk. A large part of the Japanese fleet was based here during WWII. Battleships, aircraft carriers, tugboats, gunboats, minesweepers, and submarines were destroyed in 1941 by air attacks. In 1969, Jacques Cousteau and his team explored this place, and since then it has become an attractive diving destination. The Truk Master has 7-night and 10-night trips to Truk Lagoon, which include visiting numerous sunken ships. The boat has equipment for technical diving, for those who want to explore every part of its wrecks at a depth of 30-50 m/98-164 ft. Here divers can see cargo ships that still hold torpedos and periscopes, and tanks that rest on the decks. The Rio de Janeiro Maru was once a luxury passenger boat and now lies on the bottom of the sea. This is one of the boats that guests on the Truk Master can explore. Divers can also visit the Shark Island reef, a cleaning station for sharks.
A unique diving destination can be explored on board of Truk Master
- Bikini Atoll, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Nowhere else can you dive such a fantastic collection of wrecks, including the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga.

When to go

It is possible to dive in Truk Lagoon all year round. The temperature is between 21-27°C/70-81°F in the coolest months (between December and April). October and November are the wettest months. Diving conditions can be rough during typhoon season (between August and December), although typhoons are rare for this area

Having a blastVerified review

First a word about the diving. Diving the ghost fleet of bikini is simply awesome. Some of the best wreck diving in the world, where else in the world can one dive on an aircraft carrier, battleships, destroyers, and attack subs on one trip and also see tiger sharks on deco! The fish life and sharks are healthy and adds excitement on each dive. Now a word on the boat and crew, they were simply five stars. They accomodated my vegetarian habits and and are exceptionally helpful with all aspects of the trip. The guided dives and dive planning was really nice. On top of everything the boat is very comfortable and I especially liked the bathrooms compared to all the other liveaboards I've been on.

Bikini dive adventure of a lifetimeVerified review

A dive trip to Bikini Atoll is an adventure of a lifetime. Remoteness of the location and technical dive considerations create unique logistical challenges which Master Liveaboards and the crew of Truck Master have overcome with flying colours. The boat was well equipped and the crew skilled to support the needs of technical rebreather divers. On board the vessel, we were able to relax at a comfortable lounge or retire to our cabins which were kept clean and well maintained by the housekeeping crew throughout the trip. Delicious meals were served in a comfortable dining area three times a day, with a snack provided mid-afternoon. This was now my fifth trip aboard the Truk Master and, just as during my previous trips, I was yet again thoroughly satisfied with my experience here.
