Playa Blanca is situated on Panama’s central Pacific coast and is around 20 minutes by boat from Portobelo. With lush vegetation, lovely lakes and the deep-blue Pacific Ocean, Playa Blanca is only 1-2 hours from Panama City. Tocumen International Airport is located in 115 km from Playa Blanca. This is definitely not Panama’s most popular destination, but it is attractive and fairly relaxing. Playa Blanca has soft-sand beaches which are pleasant and border a calm section of the ocean. Several upscale resorts lie near the shoreline. Its white-sand stretch of the coast is continuous with Playa Farallón and Playa Santa Clara. Like those beaches, Playa Blanca is a great place for scuba diving. Most popular dive sites The nearest dive sites are located in Portobelo.
