Scuba diving in Budva

Budva is a coastal town on the Adriatic Sea. Closest airports are Tivat Airport (20 km) and Podgorica Airport (65 km). Closest international airport is in Dubrovnik (80 km). Rich flora and fauna placed Budva on top of the list of favorite diving destinations in Montenegro. Divers have an opportunity to see flocks of dentex, mullet, gold-fish, cantor and octopus on a regular basis, while encounters with conger eels, gull fish and rays happen on occasion. The area also features beautiful colonies of gorgonians and corals. There are some excellent dive spots in the area, the most popular are Galiola, Tuneli and Mogren. Galiola is one of the most interesting sites, where divers may see two vertical tunnels which divide a cliff, populated with a large variety of underwater life. The site also features a mine, dating from the WW1 (max depth 24m/78ft).
