Scuba diving in Le Ramon Membru


This dive site is located off the port of Cavalaire. The site features a wreck of a freighter that was mentioned in The Silent World by Cousteau and Dumas. The wreck is sitting 22m/72ft deep on a sandy bottom. The interior of the wreck is a tangle of wood and metal sheets. The most interesting part of this wreck is a large piece of the hull still erect and now a shelter for a multitude of small fish. The site is marked as available for divers of all levels. The water visibility ranges between 10-35m/32-114ft.
When to go
It is most comfortable to dive at La Ramon Membru from May to November when the water temperature stays 20C/68F and above.
