La Galigo Liveaboard

La Galigo  liveaboard is a modern boat made in traditional Indonesian style. The boat is built from ironwood, one of the materials durable for yachts. La Galigo offers to discover an underwater life of Indonesia.

Boat interior

La Galigo is not a big boat, she can offer accommodation only for 14 persons. There are three main decks. Deluxe Cabins are located on the lower deck, other two types of cabins Masters and Grand Suites are on the upper deck. Rooms are made in a traditional style with the wooden walls. Upper deck rooms have more space the lower deck rooms and big windows to enjoy the gorgeous view. All cabins on a board of La Galigo are en-suite, has air conditioning, wardrobes, and plenty of storage places.

La Galigo has a spacious lounge area, perfect for relaxing after diving. On the upper deck boat's guests can spend time under the sails enjoy the wind from the sea and the view.

Dive deck

La Galigo dive deck has a hanging area for wetsuits and boxes to store diving equipment. There are rinsing tanks, so you can comfortably maintain your gear after the dive.

Safety

La Galigo has all necessary safety equipment on board. There are life jackets and emergency raft, first aid kit , emergency oxygen, and a defibrillator. The crew has been trained in primary first aid and secondary care.

Itineraries

La Galigo itineraries include diving at Komodo National Park and Raja Ampat. There are trips with different duration. Divers can choose 7 or 8-night trip or go to a long trip for 11 nights to discover more of this diving destination. Komodo National Park is a must-see destination in Indonesia. Lots of pygmy seahorses and different nudibranchs that lives in coral formations makes this destination a true paradise for macro diving.  Dolphins and reef sharks can be spotted here. But the main attraction of this destination is a vast variety of corals. You can dive along the coral walls and pinnacles. Another popular destination for diving in Indonesia is Raja Ampat. La Galigo can offer 8 or 11 nights trips to this destination. There is no other diving area with such a variety of flora and fauna like Raja Ampat. More than 1,200 fish species lives here. Divers can often meet manta rays, white tip and black tip sharks, unicornfish, surgeonfish and many others. Rare wobbegongs can be spotted while diving near Raja Ampat. And also over 600 coral types can be found here.

When to go

Komodo is the year-round diving destination. Water temperature is from 20 to 28 C during the year. Best visibility is after the rainy season in April. To visit Raja Ampat better to choose months between October and April, this period brings the best diving conditions. Summer months can be rough for diving on Raga Ampat because of strong winds.
