All about Hikkaduwa Gala dive site

Hikkaduwa Gala is a west-coast rock reef site in one of Sri Lanka’s classic coral and reef areas. It combines rocky structure, reef fish, and warm Indian Ocean water close to the island’s established dive scene.

What to see

Reef fish, parrotfish, snappers, moray eels, lionfish, turtles, rays, nudibranchs, lobsters, and coral patches may be seen.

When To Go Diving

Best from November to April, when the west and southwest coasts are usually calmer. Water is generally around 27–30°C, with visibility often 10–25 metres.
