Coral Garden is an exciting dive site that is recommended for all divers who visit Bocas del Toro. It is a reef that stretches for about 2m/6ft and is rich in variety of hard and soft corals, which create a picturesque image for divers. Due to the multiple types of corals, underwater flowers, sponges, and sea fans, the site is also called “Grandma’s Garden”.
When To Go Diving
Bocas del Toro has a tropical rainforest climate. The air temperature is about the same throughout the year, around 27-29C/80-84F. The water temperature is between 26-28C/78-82F. This area gets a lot of rain, but the driest months are September, October, February, and March. The wettest months are July, November, and December.
What to see
While scuba diving in Coral Garden, divers can encounter hawksbill turtles, big rays, snapper, grouper, blue tangs, and other groups of pelagic fish.
