Pillar Corals
Pillar Corals is a spur reef dive site located in the Hot Chan Marine Reserve. Because the site is in the marine reserve, there are special rules for divers: diving is only possible with a guide or instructor, and divers have to pay a fee to dive here. The pillars spread along the edge of the round sandy area and go up to 1-20m/3-5ft above the reef.
When To Go Diving
It is possible to dive at Pillar Corals year-round. The average sea temperature is 26-30C/79-86F.
What to see
While scuba diving, divers can spot a variety of marine species, such as reef fish, angelfish, snapper, crabs, squirrelfish, lobsters, eels, eagle rays, sharks, turtles, and sponges. There is also a fish cleaning station located near the pillar.
