The Gili Raja wreck is a dive site of Donggala in Indonesia. It is a sunken cargo ship covered in black corals. It was used during World War I, which adds historical value to the site. The wreck is 90m/295ft long and can be penetrated.
When To Go Diving
The Gili Raja wreck has diving year-round, with the best conditions from March to December. The rainy season is from January to February. The average air temperature is 28C/82F, and the water is around 27-30C/81-86F.
What to see
The highlights of the Gili Raja wreck are eagle rays, blue-spotted stingrays, and schools of silversides. The variety of fish includes snapper, angelfish, grouper, triggerfish, moray eels, and scorpionfish. The smaller species are nudibranchs, shrimp, crabs, and starfish.
