When to go to Pernera
The average monthly temperature stays around 10–12C/50-53F in February and 26–28C/78-82F in August. The best season for scuba diving is considered to be from May to November when the average water temperature is about 25C/77F.
Scuba diving in Pernera
Pernera is situated on the southeast point of Cyprus. This area features caves and reefs ranging from 10-40m/32-141ft in depth and excellent water visibility. Some truly interesting dive sites can be found close to Ayja Napa, including Cape Awkward, Caves and Canyon. Canyon is a picturesque dive site with beautiful coral covered walls and canyons (max depth 18 m/59ft) and amazing rock formations. There is a wide variety of marine life in the waters of Pernera including breams, groupers, wrasses, mullets, soldier fish, octopuses, moray eels, pipe fish, barracudas, fan worms, nudibranchs and many more.
