Maldives Blue Force One Liveaboard

The crew you can trust!Verified review

It was not an easy trip - late May, challenging weather, strong wind, rough sea and unforeseen changes caused by a pandemic. But thanks to the crew, the captain and managers, overall the trip was just perfect. As Judith from their customer support team said, "it has been a demonstration of our capacity for action and resolution when things don't go as expected" and it's 100% true. Amazing team of a great boat! Diving is organized very well, many dive guides, small groups, informative and fun briefings performed by boat co-owner who works as a dive guide and never misses a dive, four Mares Horizon rebreathers and certified guides. Rich choice of delicious food every time for all - vegetarians, meat or fish eaters, spacious cabins that are cleaned every day while guests are diving, even yoga mats and dumbbells for your morning workouts.

Nice and comfortable, highly recommendedVerified review

Had a great one week cruise along central atolls, the boat is the among the biggest I've been on and as it wasn't fully booked I had the room to myself which was a nice bonus. Overall the boat is clean and comfortable and they dive dhoni is brand new and quite spacious so it make diving more comfortable,. Food was fine but becomes repetitive after a few days but that's expected. The highlight video that was shared with us free of charge at the end of the week was a nice touch. Overall I would highly recommend them

Great time in the MaldivesVerified review

I went to the Blue Force One Maldives in December 2019 and it was a really good experience. The boats and facilities are really large and comfortable and clean. I guess it is important to note that you don't dive directly from the main boat. The main boat is where we live and eat, but there is a smaller dive boat that takes you to the actual dive sites. The travel can be very long and definitely something that I was not expecting. Despite many repeated requests from multiple people on board, the crew failed to give very clear directions as far as: 1. how long would the ride be from the main boat to the dive site or 2. the proper order of jumping 3. some update about the dive site and what it meant for changes to the dive brief. I cannot remember that one dive went as planned, but I am okay with being adaptable. What I did not like was the lack of communication. The dive guide would say : "alright, gear up" and we ended waiting another 15min before going in the water. This happened almost daily and was really frustrating. We told them many times to me more accurate about telling to gear up 1min before hitting the water, but they never listened. The food was okay but nothing outstanding. I have done a few liveaboards and that was the least appealing food I had. It was bland. I would probably choose a different company if I were to dive the Maldives again, just because the lack of communication was not acceptable for the standards of a liveaboard.
