Must see
Isla del Sec is a small island located in the western part of Palma Bay. The island is well known among the tourists and divers because of the tourist submarine that operates there. Divers can choose one of the three available dives at the island. The first dive will be an exploration of the wall that starts with descending to a small plateau at a depth of 5m/16ft, and then slowly descending to 18-20m/59-66ft down. On the second dive, divers visit the wreck of an old fishing boat that was deliberately sunk to make the area more attractive to divers. The third dive is only available for experienced divers, because it involves an exploration of another wreck that lies at the depth of 25-30m/82-98ft.

When To Go Diving

Diving at Isla del Sec is possible all year round, but the water temperature during the winter drops down to a chilly 18C/64F. The warmest water temperature is in August, when it rises to 26C/79F.

What to see

Along with the two wrecks, the island is a good opportunity to explore marine life, because the waters around the island are teeming with marine creatures. Divers can see many interesting marine species, such as nudibranchs, moray eels, octopi, scorpionfish, groupers, barracudas, and other fish species.
