Blue Bay is located in the Southern part of Mauritius, 200m/656ft from the shore. The average depth of the site is 7m/23ft with the deepest point being no more than10m/33ft. This site is especially recommended as a starting ground for novice divers.
When To Go Diving
The best time for diving is November through May. The air temperature is around 30C/86F during the day and 25C/77F during the night. During the winter months the temperature goes down and strong wind is possible.
What to see
There is a wide variety of colorful coral and tropical fish populating this location, including black and blue marlin, bonito, barracuda and dorado. Excellent visibility and absence of currents make this dive accessible in all weather conditions and even at night.
